In New Hires, Kipsuvians, Life at Kipsu

Join us in welcoming Zeno Yuki to Kipsu as a Software Engineer. Prior to Kipsu, Zeno was in the outdoor power equipment industry working as a data analyst. Outside of work, you'll find Zeno painting, playing board and video games, and spending time with his dog Momo.

What drew you to Kipsu

in contrast to other companies?

Short-term profits are a top priority for many businesses, which translates to making decisions that can prioritize short-term gains over long-term success. Kipsu showed me that this doesn't have to be the norm—companies can still thrive by resisting the temptation of a "quick buck" and playing the long game. Strategic leadership is in.

What were some things you noticed about

the Kipsu team during your first week?

I noticed quickly both how talented the team is and how unafraid they are to make mistakes. This makes for an environment that encourages creativity, allowing ideas to flourish that can take Kipsu to the next level.

What challenges are you looking

forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?

I look forward to getting involved in as many diverse projects as I can! I have muich to learn, and if I can do that while improving the QOL for both Kipsu and our partners, all the better.

What is your favorite Kipsu core value?

My favorite Kipsu core value is "Never Be Satisfied." There is always room for improvement—feeling content with the status quo means complacency, and complacency won't get you anywhere.

If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner,

who would you pick and why?

I'd definitely pick Alex Honnold. I'd love to understand his world view and his opinions on motivation, ambition, and grit.
