Join us in welcoming Risa Anderson to our Entrepreneurial Leadership Rotation Program! Prior to Kipsu, Risa studied Business Management and Communication Studies at Gustavus Adolphus College. In her free time, Risa enjoys watching baseball and hockey, trying out new foods, and spending time with her dog! We're so excited to have her a part of the Kipsu team and asked her to chat about her experience at Kipsu so far.
What drew you to Kipsu
in contrast to other companies?
I was hooked on Kipsu from the start! The culture really shone through during the interview process, and it felt like such a great fit. Being a part of a smaller company that has a big impact was something really important to me, and I found that in Kipsu! Looking for a smaller company, it was difficult to decipher who was really in it for the long haul, but Kipsu has "Play the Long Game" as one of their core values, so it was quickly apparent to me that they were here to stay and continue to add value to their product.
What were some things you noticed about
the Kipsu team during your first week?
The culture was something that stuck out right away. Everyone at Kipsu is so team orientated and here to help each other because we all have the same goal. Each person I came across was so genuinely welcoming and eager to help that it quickly felt like home. Kipsu is a lot good people putting in a lot of good work, and that is a place you are excited to show up to everyday.
What challenges are you looking
forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?
I am looking forward to tackling big and small challenges alike, progressing with Kipsu and the ever-changing world of technology, while still diving deep every day into how to improve our customers experience.
What is your favorite Kipsu core value?
I love all the Kipsu core values, but if I had to pick just one, it would be "Pursue Relentlessly" because I really think that sums up the kind of people that work here and what we do everyday. No matter how big the obstacle, a Kipsuvian never backs down. That's fun and contagious energy to be around. It takes determination to deliver such high quality and every single person I have met here at Kipsu shares that same trait.
If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner,
who would you pick and why?
If I could take one person out to dinner, it would be the Backstreet Boys. I am cheating, because that's not just one person... But that would be the best dinner ever. Total fangirl.
