Kipsu picnic, a kipsnic!

We had our first annual Kipsu picnic, a Kipsnic! It was an evening filled with yard games, grilling, and great conversation. The ice cream bicycle was a great hit as many people took it out for a ride. We couldn't have been happier with the amazing weather, location, and most of all, being surrounded by fellow Kipsuvians!

Kipsu kickball Team : Kicksu

Last year, Maddy Dunn, a member of our Customer Partnership team, started a Kipsu Kickball team: Kicksu. Kicksu has been a great way for new or old Kipsuvians to get to know their coworkers outside of work. The Kicksu team has had some great wins and always smiles, even when they lose (mostly because of the happy hour after). We interviewed Coach Maddy Dunn and Assistant Coach Ty Jesinoski on topics from what they love most about Kipsu to how to run a successful kickball team. We also interviewed Kicksu team members on what their favorite part of Kicksu is.

Celebrating Our Kipsu Fathers!

Happy Father's Day from Kipsu to you! We wanted to celebrate this special day by highlighting one of our amazing Kipsu fathers, Alex Buddington. Alex has been at Kipsu for about a year and a half now, and is part of our on-boarding and training leaders at Kipsu. He has two children, Owen and Olive. Alex recently welcomed baby Olive to the family and is excited to be a father of two and for Owen to be a big brother! Alex loves being active with his kids and enjoys going to parks, farmer's markets, and just being outside as much as possible. We asked Alex to answer a few questions about what it is like being a father while also working at Kipsu.

Volunteering with Mpls parks and rec

With summer officially here, Kipsuvians took to the outdoors to volunteer with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation at Elliot Park. Each quarter, Kipsu partners with a local non-profit and the whole team is invited to take a Friday afternoon to give back to the community. Last quarter we suited up in hairnets and booties to volunteer with the Second Harvest Heartland, but this time around called for shorts and garden gloves. Elliot Park is one of the oldest neighborhood communities in Minneapolis and is located by Downtown Minneapolis. The neighborhood's namesake park contains a recreation center which hosts many activities and events such as sport leagues, nature programs, movies in the park, and much more.  We had a blast learning about the community, digging in the dirt, and working with our hands!

Kipsu Moving

Recently, Kipsu marked a milestone by hiring it's 50th team member. Now, Kipsu marks another milestone of moving offices from Northeast Minneapolis, to downtown Minneapolis. Having started a short 8 years ago, it is amazing to see how much we have grown in a short amount of time.

We asked Kipsuvians how they felt about the move, what they are excited for, or something they might miss about the old office. Although the answers were all different, there was one thing in common: it doesn't really matter where Kipsu moves, it's about sticking together as a team.

Volunteering with Second Harvest Heartland

Every quarter, Kipsu spends a day volunteering in order to give back to the community. This quarter, we decided to volunteer at Second Harvest Heartland, which is one of the nation’s largest hunger relief organizations. Second Harvest Heartland is a food bank that collects food from farmers, hotels, restaurants, manufacturers, and others so that food can be packed and delivered to their agency partners such as shelters, after-school programs, soup kitchens, and food pantries. Agencies like these then provide a place for children, parents, and seniors to have access to food.
